About NCL
National Charity League (NCL) is a non-profit organization of mothers and daughters dedicated to serving the community. The mothers are called Patronesses and the daughters are called Ticktockers. The purpose of NCL is to initiate and support charitable endeavors, to foster the mother-daughter relationship, and to promote community awareness through volunteerism in the 6-year Ticktocker program.
Benefits to the Community
Did you know ??? The San Diego Chapter of National Charity League donates over 15,000 hours of volunteer service each year to local charitable organizations. Each member is responsible to complete 20 - 30 hours of community service, with many of our members exceeding the minimum annual requirement for volunteer hours. The countless goods and services that our mothers and daughters provide to the community of San Diego is vitally important.
Benefits to our Membership
NCL provides opportunities for women with girls ages 12 - 18 to enjoy their mother-daughter relationships in philanthropic, educational, and cultural activities. The ticktocker experience strives to bring opportunities for each girl to know the joy of helping others, to learn leadership and communication skills, and to make friends while participating in grade level, as well as chapter-wide NCL activities. Many of our Senior Ticktockers find that not only have their experiences in NCL been a lot of fun, but NCL is also very valuable in helping them develop individual talents and interests, and preparing them for college and/or career activites after graduation.
